The Children’s Toy Fund, Inc. (CTF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Canton, Ohio, dedicated to bringing joy to children and teens who are facing challenging circumstances. Whether coping with chronic or terminal illnesses or experiencing crisis situations, CTF delivers toys and comfort items to brighten their days and bring smiles to their faces.

Founded in 1990 by two mothers, Cathi Bogavich and Kimberly Samuels, the organization was born from personal experiences. Cathi’s children lived with chronic illness, and Kimberly’s young son, Colin, was diagnosed with pleuropulmonary blastoma at just 2½ years old. Colin passed away at the age of 5, but his story—and the strength of these two mothers—sparked a mission to make hospital stays feel more like a visit to an arcade, filled with fun and joy. From the beginning, their goal has been to help every child feel like a kid, no matter what they’re going through.

Today, the Children’s Toy Fund partners with foster care programs, hospitals, EMS/fire departments, and Wish Foundations. Donations typically include comforting items such as stuffed animals and blankets, as well as games, fidget toys, crafts, and other playthings that bring joy and distraction during tough times.
